The Marq is a fully smoke-free environment. This means that cigarette / vaporizer / electronic cigarette/cigar smoking is not permitted in restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, parking garages, loading dock or any other interior locations at The Marq.

Also, in accordance with the Minnesota Clean Indoor Air Act and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance procedures (LEED-EB: O & M) smoking is strictly prohibited within 25 feet of any building entrance, exit, open windows, and ventilation intakes or ventilation areas - specifically under the overhang of the building on the Plaza side entrance. This includes, but is not limited to, the Marquette Avenue and Plaza building entrances.

Cigarette / vapor / e-cigarette / cigar smoking is permitted only in those areas as designated by the Landlord.

There is one area at The Marq that are specifically designated for smoking. It is outside of the Marquette Avenue entrance to the right - be sure you are 25 feet from the entrance - you must be beyond the grouping of planters by the building column on the Marquette Avenue side of the building to meet the minimum of 25 feet. Ash urns are located in this area for proper disposal of cigarettes butts. Please utilize this ash urns in efforts to keep the grounds and surrounding environment clean, attractive and free of debris. As a courtesy to those visiting Cancer Survivors Park, we do not allow smoking in the park and ask that you use the Marquette area for smoking as the designated area for smoking.

Please inform the employees within your firm of the ordinance and designated smoking area.
